JOBS IN CUMULUS

CUMULUS is a dynamic ecosystem fostering collaboration and growth among individuals and teams.

CUMULUS is a collaborative platform where talent, innovation, and expertise converge to create enduring architectural solutions.

Cumulus primarly executes projects realying on the in-house team. When capacity demands, we strategically partner with external collaborators on long-term engagements characterized by established processes, shared expectations, and aligned standards.

The Project Owner, represented by one of Cumulus’s partners or associates, is in charge of the project from inception to completion. This role encompasses defining the project's vision, standards, and quality benchmarks, while ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and project resources, timeline and financial constraints.

The Design Manager is the strategic architect responsible for the project's professional execution. By developing comprehensive project plans aligned with budget, scope, and client objectives, they orchestrate the design process. Their role encompasses proactive monitoring, effective team leadership, and seamless client communication to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

CUMULUS brings together people, ideas, knowledge and competence, developing a valuable build environment.

We address the biggest challenges adding value to our projects and clients.

The BIM Manager
ensures seamless BIM implementation, whilst coordinating the team to align with the BIM Execution Plan. Their responsibilities extend from regulatory compliance to model management, optimizing the digital lifecycle of the project.

The BIM Coordinator is the project's digital architect, orchestrating the collaborative creation of the BIM model. With a deep understanding of construction and BIM technologies, they ensure the model aligns with project goals, maintains quality standards, and facilitates seamless communication among team members.

Comprehensive design vision for extraordinary people and projects.

The Project Leader (Team leader) is responsible of the project’s development, ensuring deliverability of professional content and project quality, aligning both with cumulus standards and client expectation. Furthermore they provide strategic direction, oversee design development, and coordinate technical teams to achieve project excellence while maintaining rigorous quality control.

Architects are the creative core of our design teams, contributing to projects of varying scale and complexity. Their role encompasses conceptualization, technical detailing, and seamless collaboration with team leaders and design managers to produce exceptional architectural outcomes. Through a structured career path, architects can progress from junior roles to leadership positions, mastering their craft and contributing to the firm's expertise. Recent graduates aspiring to full architectural licensure, will be guided by one of our Partners, during their two years ‘OAR’ internship.

Urban Designers  are responsible for proposing a vision and strategy of the development how land is used within an urban area together with the architecture team through a comprehensive and collaborative process. They need to be familiar with building code regulations, zoning regulations, environmental regulations and other factors that may affect how land is used. They meet with developers and city officials, review plan proposals and bring optimizations in order to meet all needs and regulations. Urban designers have to consider the immediate needs of their community, as well as long-term needs that have to be factored into the development of available land.Interior Architects are integral members of our design teams, contributing to the entire design process, from inception to completion, defining the interior's aesthetic, functionality, and identity. Their expertise in spatial planning, material selection, and coordination with other disciplines ensures the successful realization of exceptional interior environments. Through experience and demonstrated leadership, interior architects can progress to senior roles within our firm.

Interns
fifth and sixth year architecture students (and even fourth for interior architecture students) who contribute to our projects for short periods of time (3-6 months). We provide a comprehensive learning experience, exposing them to various project stages, from conceptual design to construction site visits. This hands-on approach fosters professional growth and development.

The Suport Team is dedicated to the seamless operation of our practice, handling essential administrative, financial, and legal functions. We collaborate with external experts in public relations, technology, legal counsel, and graphic design to enhance our services and project delivery.

Cumulus wins 3rd prize @ ”Colentina Lakes” Competition

The competition aimed to develop the landscaping of the Colentina lakeshores over the entire length comprised in the 2nd District. By analyzing the geographical context we discover that Bucharest is not a flat city. Actually, the flat does not exist, there is always a slope of a few centimeters, of a few meters or sometimes of even 10 meters. Therefore, our proposal follows to rediscover the subtle slopes.

Swisôtel Poiana Brasov is officially open

Eliza Yokina and Cumulus team vision for the design is to bring Transylvanian interiors into the present day:  „To embrace an identity that already exist and to bring into guests experience a connection with it – was one of the main pillars of our design approach.
